Becoming a client at Reston Wealth Management is a multi-step process designed to discover whether our services are right for you and to begin building your relationship with our advisors.
This process consists of several phases.
During your initial discovery meeting, we will get to know each other better—the advisors will share more about our process with you, and together we’ll discuss and map out your short- and long-term goals, priorities, and expectations.
We author a financial plan with you and design a portfolio that works in conjunction with your goals. Our plans cover many topics, including retirement, education funding, financial basics, insurance, and more.
Once we've completed your plan, we'll sit down with you and go through it step-by-step.
If you decide to move forward, our staff will start the on-boarding process with you. Once your funds have moved, we'll implement the strategies you've agreed to.
Throughout our relationship with you, we monitor your investments and your overall financial situation to ensure they're integrated to help meet your goals.
Your advisor will touch base with you on a regular basis to review your accounts, learn about changes in your life, talk over a variety of important financial topics and more.
* If a new client doesn't meet our minimum, we also typically charge a quarterly financial fee.
** We do sometimes accept new clients who have not come to us through a referral, but our screening process is more in depth. If you don't have a referral, please call our office to request information.
